We are back again for a bi monthly (a bit more sporadic than usual!) book club that provides a selection of my highly recommended must reads for an Italian escape.
Weather you are dreaming of a return to Italy or just a fan of an international love story, this book club is for you. We can all use a little escape. Especially now, and what better destination than the seductive Mediterranean region where la dolce vita not only exists but thrives.
There are massive amounts of books to choose from in this genre. When searching for my next story I am always overwhelmed at the choices. For this reason, I’m sharing a handful of my absolute favorites with you every few months.
EAT PRAY LOVE BY ELIZABETH GILBERT
If you have not read this book by now, you need to order it TODAY. Gilbert’s story is so much more than eating pasta in Rome and riding bikes through Bali. It’s a story of getting through loss and heart break and finding yourself whole again.
A THOUSAND DAYS IN TUSCANY BY MARLENA DE BLASI
The second book in her series, De Blasi and husband uproot their exquisite Venetian lifestyle for a barely renovated barn in Tuscany. Digging into historic Tuscan traditions by season, the couple finds their very own tour guide into the heart of a beautiful village.

WANDER(LUST) BY JASMINE MAH
Wander(lust) is a beautiful collection of memories that read like a love poem. Mah takes you on a journey of finding love, letting go and the feelings we all experience as we move through a life of travel.
LAKE COMO BY ANITA HUGHES
By the same author as Rome in Love, this story will also make you root for main character Hallie Elliot. Her life is turned upside down when she comes home to her fiancé in bed with her boss. Ticket to Lake Como please! There she uncovers a bombshell family secret and naturally, falls in love.
