Summer 2022 Seaside staples
There are few things that are better than spending a summer vacation on the Mediterranean coast. Early morning swims, icy cold granita in the piazza, endless views of deep blues and late nights with your toes in the sand.
From Bari to Tormina, and the Amalfi coast to the Italian Rivera, there is no lack of heart stopping, lust-worthy locations. Each city set and ready for the most incredible summer mischief, if you are so bold.
Trips like these are often the ones we remember most, trips that become one of our favorite memories. Preparing for an Italian summer vacay should be exciting, stress free and filled with giddy anticipation.
An experience so special deserves an equally gush worthy wardrobe. Pieces that make you feel like the ultimate main character jetting off to paradise for the season. That is why I’m sharing a few of my favorite summer pieces for any Italian seaside, whirlwind vacation.
ONE PIECE SUITS
Bold color has painted the runways for resort wear from Paris to Milan and it should be at the top of your packing list. I love a bright bathing suit and a textured one piece has been my go-to lately.
OVERSIZE BUTTON DOWN
Every sea side stay calls for a coverup or two. I like to use items that make an easy transition from beach to lunch to shopping and back again. Number one in my book is a linen button-down shirt. I typically order a men’s size for the extra oversize look.
ALL WHITE SUMMER DRESSES
There are countless types and styles of dresses to bring for a fabulous summer night out and about. If I could sway you in one direction it would be to bring a lightweight, flowy white look. This is a classy and elegant piece I think every summer wardrobe needs.
SUMMER SCARVES
I never travel anywhere without a scarf, even in the summer. This of course will be made of a lighter material and brighter color in warmer months yet still essential. The perfect accessory to change any look, perfect when packing lighter and also practical for chilly evenings.
BEACH BAGS
Not too many things are more frustrating than lugging a million different things to the beach only to remember you forgot the sunblock. Use a decent sized carry-on bag to double as your beach tote. This will easily take you from the airport to the beach carrying all your necessities.
