Practice Italian with the Classics

PRACTICE ITALIAN WHILE WATCHING MUST SEE, AWARD WINNING CINEMA.

We are back again with even more movies to share. When you think of Italian classics, this collection is the highlight reel. Not only will you learn about history and a distinct way of life but you will most importantly, practice Italian.

Italy has inspired some of the greatest films of all time. Directors such as Federico Fellini and Carlo Verdone alongside the renown Sophia Lauren and Marcello Mastroianni bring magic to the screen. When it comes to my personal favorites, my top picks include these classics and beyond.

If you’re a regular here, you know how much I love Italian cinema. It doesn’t only service as entertainment but a great tool to practice Italian. If you are not living in Italy at the moment it’s important to hear as much Italian as possible.

There is an overwhelming amount of Italian films to choose from. Finding one you like is especially time consuming if Italian is not your first language. It usually takes trial and error until finding one that you can understand and enjoy. That’s why I want to share a (very) condensed list of my favorite Italian movies I love to watch again and again:

LA VITA È BELLA (1997)
